Sci-Fi Novel “CHOLBON” Could Be Adapted for the Screen

The science-fiction novel CHOLBON (Part One. Introduction to the World of Cholbon), which tells the story of a peaceful alien civilization confronting the ideas of war, dictatorship, and political struggle for the first time, could potentially be adapted for film or television in the future.

The story takes place on the planet Cholbon, a world hidden beneath purple clouds. Its civilization is made up of 210 nations that have largely avoided global wars, military conquest, and territorial expansion throughout their history. International disputes are traditionally resolved through negotiation, science, and political agreements rather than bloodshed.

But that balance begins to collapse after a groundbreaking scientific discovery.

A brilliant researcher named Loluuna, from the Republic of Maar, creates Sardyn, a revolutionary space-time engine capable of opening paths between planets and galaxies. One possible destination is a mysterious blue world known to the people of Cholbon as Sir.

To readers on Earth, that world is immediately recognizable.

It is Earth.

Before Loluuna can receive recognition for her invention, however, an ambitious and bitter scientist named Doloon steals her work and presents the technology to the public as his own achievement.

Almost overnight, he becomes a national hero.

With fame comes political influence. Doloon begins studying the history of Earth, including wars, totalitarian regimes, repression, propaganda, and the manipulation of public opinion.

And ideas once almost unknown on Cholbon begin to spread.

Distrust grows between nations. Propaganda slowly replaces truth. Society becomes divided between supporters and opponents of a new political movement. And the word “war,” once little more than a historical or academic concept for many people on Cholbon, begins to take on a very different meaning.

As the crisis deepens, Loluuna must overcome her own fear and confront the man who stole not only her scientific breakthrough, but perhaps the future of an entire civilization.

Potential for a Screen Adaptation

The world of CHOLBON is built as a large-scale science-fiction universe, giving the novel strong potential for adaptation as either a feature film or a television series.

The story combines several genres, including science fiction, political thriller, dystopian drama, dark satire, and interplanetary adventure.

A major part of the novel is devoted to the visual world of Cholbon: futuristic cities, artificial intelligence, unusual creatures, advanced space technology, and the cultures of the planet’s many nations. Some elements of its fictional civilization are also inspired by Sakha cultural imagination and aesthetics.

But the central conflict goes far beyond a simple struggle between a hero and a villain.

What happens to a society that has never truly experienced war when it suddenly discovers the darkest chapters of human history?

And an even more unsettling question remains:

What will Cholbon learn from Earth, and what will Earth awaken in Cholbon?

The first part of the story only begins a much larger saga.

The road to Earth is now open.

The only question is who will cross it first.
