Google opens Gemini 4 Argon globally for developers, enterprises and AI subscribers

DeepMind says Argon is now available via the Gemini API and in Antigravity, the Gemini app and AI Mode in Search, with a 1M-token limit and introductory API pricing of $2/$10 per million tokens through 30 November 2026.

Google DeepMind announced on 13 October 2026 that Gemini 4 Argon is now globally available to developers and enterprises through the Gemini API, and to eligible Google AI subscribers in Google Antigravity, the Gemini app and AI Mode in Search.

What is new

Argon is positioned for multi-step work in coding, finance, legal, cybersecurity and science. Google says it ranks first on the Vals Index across several economic sectors and offers an industry-leading 1 million unified input–output token limit via the API, with a new continuation protocol for long agentic runs.

Pricing and access

Introductory API pricing is $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens (cached input at 95% off) until 30 November 2026, then $4 / $20. Consumer access in the Gemini app and AI Mode is limited to Google AI Ultra and Pro; Antigravity Ultra gets the highest usage tier. Google is also opening applications for 10,000 scientists to receive six months of free top-tier Antigravity access, and expanding the Fairwind Program for trusted cyber defenders.

Safety claims

Google describes a layered safety stack — jailbreak resistance, agent-alignment training, real-time misalignment monitoring and strong prompt-injection resistance (0.7% success on Gray Swan IPI across 15 adaptive attempts, per the company). Figures and benchmarks are Google’s; independent confirmation will take time. This expands beyond Google’s earlier limited Argon rollout to trusted cyber defenders.
