Louise Trotter expands Bottega Veneta’s palette for SS27 in Milan
A year after her debut, Louise Trotter showed Bottega Veneta SS27 in Milan on Saturday with yellow, red, purple and florals on structured light suits, doubled leather and raffia totes, and woven-leather trench and boots. Guests included Solange, Tyler, the Creator, Julianne Moore and Jacob Elordi; Kylie Jenner closed in a voluminous black dress.
Louise Trotter expanded Bottega Veneta’s colour and bag offer for spring/summer 2027 at Milan Fashion Week on Saturday, a year after her acclaimed debut, AFP and Vogue reported.
Colour, structure and light
Suits and dresses took yellow, red, purple or floral prints while staying structured yet light. Vogue’s Nicole Phelps noted a mid-show burst of pastels — lilac over a striped shirt with butter-yellow chinos — and a flower-print fringe set that marked the turn into spring on the runway.
Bags and woven leather
The British designer doubled the size of leather and raffia tote bags. She kept working the house’s woven-leather intrecciato specialty on a men’s trench and on tall women’s boots, with baby intrecciato scarves wrapped at the waist.
Front row and finale
Singer Solange and rapper Tyler, the Creator sat near Bottega ambassadors Julianne Moore and Jacob Elordi. American star Kylie Jenner closed the show in a voluminous black dress.
