Dolce & Gabbana refreshed its Sicilian codes for spring/summer 2027 at the brand’s Milan headquarters on Saturday, treating the house archive as an inheritance to update rather than abandon, AFP and AsiaOne reported.
Precious and everyday
In a show note, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana said they wanted to “open the wardrobes of the great Sicilian families” and create a dialogue between “the precious and the everyday.” The contemporary Sicilian woman on their runway paired lace and faux leopard fur with jeans, or loaded a little tailored jacket with dozens of necklaces.
Inheritance, denim and craft
AsiaOne described nubby tweed with leopard trim, bloomers and bra tops from checked tablecloth print, lace slips with fringe and beads, and crocheted doilies turned into skirts and dresses. Glammed-up denim met gardening boots alongside signature black dresses, lingerie looks and animal prints — including a trailing animal-print hooded cape over baggy jeans.
Front-row wattage
Jennifer Lopez took a front-row seat in a dark velvet suit with matching cap and equestrian boots. Fans outside chanted for “J-Lo” as guests left; the star has a decades-old relationship with the house.
