Julian Klausner’s Dries Van Noten SS27: Technicolor posters, stars and crystals
At Carreau du Temple on Wednesday, Dries Van Noten creative director Julian Klausner showed Spring/Summer 2027 built from imagined film posters, mixed prints, stars and crystals — a joyful, glamorous wardrobe for Puig-owned house, FashionNetwork reported.
Julian Klausner presented a Spring/Summer 2027 Dries Van Noten collection in Paris on Wednesday that traded on cinematic fantasy: fictional film posters printed onto silk dresses and pareos, mixed florals and animal prints, oversized stars and a cascade of crystals and tassels, FashionNetwork reported.
Cinema wardrobe
Models walked a vast white catwalk under the ironwork of Carreau du Temple. Klausner said the team “imagined films that don’t exist and created their posters,” cutting and piecing garments “like posters on a wall” and blending them with wardrobe essentials — “a cinema siren, on screen and off.” Faux posters appeared as all-over prints; one proclaimed “Vipère,” while black-and-gold snake prints echoed oversized bags. Silk organza veils blurred floral and flamingo motifs; a work jacket kept beige patch pockets but turned transparent over leopard silk. Stars spanned coat backs and jacket shoulders; Klausner told journalists he used a spray technique for dynamic blur on tops and dresses.
Glamour finish
Rhinestones and crystals appeared as brooches, embroideries and layered sparkle until some evening looks were fully covered in tasselled, glittering ensembles. Accessories ranged from sparkling court shoes with wooden heels to leather gloves colour-matched to bags from maxi to micro. RUSSH noted a cut-and-paste, Pop Art feeling from the collaged poster prints. Marc Puig, executive chairman of owner Puig, embraced Klausner after the show, FashionNetwork said.
