Uniqlo owner Fast Retailing posts a fifth straight record profit, up 32%
Fast Retailing's annual profit jumped 32% and beat expectations, a record for the fifth year in a row, helped by strong results in all regions, Reuters reported.
Fast Retailing, the Japanese owner of Uniqlo, reported on 8 October that its annual profit jumped 32%, beating expectations, according to Reuters (via The Business of Fashion).
It was the company’s fifth consecutive year of record annual profit, boosted by strong results in all of its regions. The result stands out at a time when many Western fashion and luxury groups report slowing demand, and confirms Uniqlo’s basics-driven model as one of the strongest in global apparel.
