Zankov, the label of DVF's new artistic director, names Jack Tobin as its first CEO and part-owner
New York label Zankov, founded by Diane von Furstenberg artistic director Henry Zankov, appointed agency founder Jack Tobin as its first chief executive and part-owner, The Business of Fashion reported.
New York-based label Zankov announced on Thursday, 8 October, that Jack Tobin, founder of the luxury fashion agency Jack Tobin Agency, will become its first chief executive officer and a part-owner, The Business of Fashion reported.
Tobin will oversee commercial development: international expansion, partnerships, retail growth and long-term brand building. Founded in 2020 by Henry Zankov — now also artistic director of Diane von Furstenberg — the brand has been represented by Tobin’s agency for two years. In that time, according to BoF, Zankov’s international business grew more than tenfold and its global stockist network doubled, with Selfridges, Harrods and Galeries Lafayette among its partners.
Henry Zankov said in a statement that he had always envisioned “a partner” to shape the brand’s next chapter. The same day, his debut for Diane von Furstenberg offered subtle updates to the house’s best-known codes.
