Stylist Erin Walsh named creative director of Rebecca Taylor’s spring 2027 collection

Celebrity stylist Erin Walsh, who dresses Anne Hathaway and Selena Gomez, will serve as creative director for Rebecca Taylor’s spring 2027 collection in a one-season partnership, WWD reported. It is the brand’s first creative director since the Ramani Group bought it in 2022.

New York label Rebecca Taylor has brought in celebrity stylist Erin Walsh as creative director of its spring 2027 collection, WWD reported on Wednesday, 14 October.

What the role covers

  • A limited, collection-specific partnership: Walsh will work on collection development, campaign concepts, styling and brand imagery alongside the in-house team, from the New York office.
  • Her name will not appear on the label. The collection will start showing to buyers in February.
  • Walsh’s clients include Anne Hathaway, Selena Gomez, Mindy Kaling and Ariana DeBose.

The business behind it

The Ramani Group bought the Rebecca Taylor brand and intellectual property from Vince Holding Corp. in December 2022, and the brand has not had a creative director since. COO Devyani Ramani told WWD that online sales make up 60–70% of the business and the TriBeCa store about 30%; she wants Walsh to build out categories such as tops. The brand marks its 30th anniversary this year.

Asked whether the partnership could continue beyond one season, Ramani said it is “very much one moment at a time.” Founder Rebecca Taylor left the company in 2019 and is no longer involved.
