AMIRI dresses Barça Femení for a second season with a pinstripe suit cut for women
Mike Amiri's label unveiled new formalwear for FC Barcelona's women's team: a grey wool pinstripe suit, a garnet leather blouson and monogrammed travel accessories.
Los Angeles label AMIRI has presented its second season of formalwear for FC Barcelona Femení, extending its partnership with the club. The team wore the looks when travelling to Denmark for its UEFA Women’s Champions League game against HB Køge on 29 October, Footballer Fits reports.
The looks
- A grey Italian wool pinstripe suit with a single-breasted, two-button jacket, wide peak lapels and slightly flared trousers.
- A white striped Oxford shirt and a garnet silk tie — garnet being one of Barcelona’s colours.
- A garnet lambskin leather blouson with embossed Barça crests on the chest and back.
- Travel accessories, including a grey duffel bag with AMIRI’s MA Quad monogram.
Players including Aitana Bonmatí, Ewa Pajor, Kika Nazareth and Vicky López appeared in the campaign images.
Cut for women
The suits were cut specifically for women rather than adapted from menswear. “The suits have their own distinct cut, tailored specifically for women,” founder and creative director Mike Amiri said. The men’s team had debuted its version of the collection earlier.
Linea Textil notes that the reports do not say whether the pieces will be sold to the public or at what price.
