«Instagram publics Azzimood, NeSakhaLife, Djiikey are conduits of Z propaganda in Yakutia» — editorial position

About 200,000 Instagram followers: what is publicly visible about three popular Yakut publics, Meta’s rules on coordinated influence, Russia’s use of local publics — and the Sardaana News editorial position.

This piece has two parts: facts and context with links to sources, followed by the Sardaana News editorial position.

What is publicly visible

As of 21 October 2026, the public Instagram pages show:

These are popular Yakut entertainment and “news” publics with a combined Instagram audience of around 200,000 — a large number for a republic of fewer than a million people.

Context: Meta and coordinated influence

Meta’s rules prohibit “coordinated inauthentic behavior” (CIB): networks of accounts that conceal who is behind them in order to manipulate public debate. Meta regularly removes such networks. In its Q2–Q3 2025 report it described a network of pages posing as local media in Africa, run by local “social media managers” likely working on behalf of individuals in Russia, which in Meta’s assessment received centralized tasking through channels outside its platforms. Its Q4 2024 report covers the Russian operation Doppelganger and links it to companies later sanctioned by the EU and the US.

Inside Russia, the state has long worked through local publics. In 2017 RBC described a project prepared for the Presidential Administration: about a hundred anonymous regional Telegram channels with Kremlin oversight. In 2023 The Bell reported that the state agenda, including the war, is promoted through city publics and Telegram channels with the involvement of budget-funded structures.

Sardaana News editorial position

The Instagram publics Azzimood, NeSakhaLife and Djiikey are conduits of Z propaganda and pro-Russian narratives in Yakutia. They speak with mockery and contempt about Yakuts living in the US, Uruguay, Argentina, Brazil, South Korea and Canada, calling them “traitors to the motherland”, and are hostile to the men and women who left after the war began.

They draw followers with cheap tricks: gossip from Yakut social media, videos of local fights and drunks, clips about local eccentric “celebrities”. The Kremlin’s political agenda is served up against this entertainment backdrop.

The editors believe these publics have one author and are run from a single center, and we suspect the FSB influences them. We call on Meta Platforms to remove these accounts so they stop poisoning the minds of Yakut youth.
