Armani CEO: 15% stake sale could involve more than one investor

Chief Executive Giuseppe Marsocci said Sunday that Armani’s planned 15% stake sale “is not written in stone that it has to be one investor,” Reuters reported. The stake was earmarked in Giorgio Armani’s will after his death aged 91 in September 2025; preferred names included LVMH, L’Oréal and EssilorLuxottica. No deal structure has been decided.

Italian luxury house Armani could sell a 15% stake to more than one investor, Chief Executive Giuseppe Marsocci said on Sunday, adding that no decision has been made on the structure of a potential deal, Reuters reported via News.az.

Not written in stone

“It is not written in stone that it has to be one investor,” Marsocci told reporters on the sidelines of the Giorgio Armani spring/summer 2027 show in Milan. He said any transaction would depend on agreement over price and other details.

Founder’s will and preferred buyers

The 15% stake was earmarked for sale in the will of founder Giorgio Armani, who died at age 91 in September 2025. Armani had identified French luxury group LVMH, cosmetics maker L’Oréal and eyewear company EssilorLuxottica as preferred potential buyers.

Timetable

Marsocci, who became CEO last October, said the house intended to follow the timetable in the founder’s will while considering options for bringing in an investor and keeping the ownership structure Armani envisioned.
