Interbrand 2026: Hermès, Chanel, Zara and Uniqlo gain value as Nike, Gucci and Prada slide
Hermès is the most valuable fashion brand at $45.2 billion (+10.6%), while Nike lost 35.5% and Gucci 30.7% of their brand value, according to Interbrand's Best Global Brands ranking.
Interbrand’s annual Best Global Brands ranking shows a widening gap between fashion winners and losers, FashionUnited reported. The total value of the top 100 brands rose 8.1% to about $3.87 trillion; Apple, Microsoft and Google lead the overall list.
Luxury
- Hermès: $45.2 billion, +10.6%, 15th place — the most valuable fashion label in the ranking.
- Louis Vuitton: $45.1 billion, −6.9%, 16th.
- Chanel: $32.9 billion, +8.1%.
- Dior: $8.9 billion, −5%, 85th; Gucci: $8.1 billion, −30.7%, 93rd; Prada: $7.6 billion, −15.1%, 96th.
Sportswear and high street
- Nike lost 35.5% to $21.7 billion (32nd), one of the steepest falls in the entire ranking; FashionUnited links it to the post-2020 shift to direct-to-consumer sales and a focus on financial targets over sport.
- Adidas: $16.1 billion, −7.9%, 56th.
- Zara: $21.6 billion, +11.2%, 33rd — just behind Nike.
- Uniqlo: $20.5 billion, +16.2%, 38th; H&M: $10.4 billion, −12.1%, 80th.
Interbrand stresses cultural relevance, desirability and customer experience as the factors separating brands that turn their strength into growth from those relying on reputation.
